Betsy Berner and Tara Sutphin started Berner Sutphin Designs in 2007 after a combined 20 years in interior design. Their relationship stems from a childhood friendship which began 40 years ago. Passion for color, texture and design are a common thread in their lives and with this shared interest they have built a successful interior design business.
Located in Red Bank, NJ Berner Sutphin Designs enjoys a variety of design work including primary residences and vacation homes in New Jersey, New York, Palm Beach and Naples. They have completed several commercial and professional assignments and transformed very generic spaces into comfortable work and hospitality environments. Their work includes 2 showhouses: Mansions in May 2005 and, Stately Homes by the Sea 2007. They have also overseen full renovation of 2 historical homes in Monmouth County.
BSD prides themselves on sound client relationships. These women have a genuine interest that each client is treated individually and their trust is key to a long and productive relationship.
Having their own firm has allowed Tara and Betsy to spend time searching for fresh resources. Traveling and gathering one-of-a-kind treasures allows these women the ability to accomplish a goal that is high on their list of priorities-that each client's home contain not only beautiful furnishings but also the unique!
